La Granja – Ibiza

Tranquillity. Nature. Linen. Organic sheets. Stone white walls. Nice soft light. And the perfect place for a siesta followed by organic - on-farm home-grown food. We are talking about La Granja, a farm situated in the interior of wonderful Ibiza.

This ancient stone farmhouse has nine rooms, a detached guest house and is hidden in 10 hectares of farmland and citrus orchards. It’ s a collaboration between Friends of a Farmer & design hotels. Friends of a Farmer is a non-profit environmental organisation that works to promote more sustainability on Ibiza: ecosystems, water resources, infrastructure, and so on. We can only give a thumbs up for this!

Sustainable food

The food served at La Granja consists mainly of ingredients from the farm. What gives the dinner an extra touch are the long communal tables to elevate the social feeling to a higher level.

Iberian architecture

As for the design on the farm, you’ ll immediately notice the classic Iberian architecture and interior. Only colours such as ash grey and earth tones are used in the materials wood, stone and slate. The whole picture of atmosphere and aesthetics is completed by the dark rooms that are minimalist in design. It feels intimate, calming and above all, it feels right.

“The art of imperfect beauty is accepting the natural cycle of growth and decay. Using flawed and scarred materials and surfaces we’ve alluded to the enigma of time passing.”
Armin Fischer, Dreimeta Design Studio

Meet new people, enjoy the green, sustainable life and be inspired. A dream spot for many nature lovers – La Granja.
